Find all the best deals on Xbox One consoles, bundles, games, peripherals and more right here.

The Xbox One is set to be one of the big tech purchases over the Black Friday period whether you’re looking for the classic console or its slimmer and more powerful brother, the Xbox One S. Deep discounts are expected on hardware bundles and this year’s biggest games so now’s the best time to grab yourself one of Microsoft’s consoles.
We’ve trawled through retailers across the US and the UK to find the best offers and will continue to update our roundup as more become available over the week.

Best Xbox One Black Friday 2016 console and game deals right now

Black Friday doesn’t properly start for another couple of days but retailers are already starting to make some excellent deals available. We’ll add any new ones as soon as we spot them so bookmark us to stay up to date.

US deals

US Xbox One hardware (Xbox One S, original Xbox One consoles), accessories and bundles
So far the standard saving on a console with one game is around $50. 500GB bundles have dropped from £299 to $249 and 1TB bundles from $350 to $299. Most retailers are offering bundle deals at least as good value as this. For a deal with older release games you can expect 2 games for this price.
Right now there are several deals that drop below this, the best of which is the Xbox One S 1TB console with Gears of War 4 which is available for $269.99 at eBay through the seller antonline.

There’s certainly no shortage of game deals already and plenty more lined up for the next couple of days. Gears of War 4 is down to $34.99 at Amazon or if you’re looking for the ultimate edition it’s down from $99.99 to $69.99 at Best Buy and Amazon has also price matched this. COD Infinite Warfare is reduced to $39.99 already at AmazonEbay and Gamestop.
If Dark Souls 3 is what you’re after the cheapest around for that at the moment is Gamestop, which has it down at $19.99.

When is Black Friday 2016?

Black Friday 2016 kicks off November 25, except that’s a lie: it’s already started. It’s supposed to start on the Friday after Thanksgiving in America, but retailers are eager to get you spending with them early. That’s why so many have already launched their Black Friday deals “events” which are set to run all the way up to Cyber Monday on November 28th.
What is an Xbox One S?
The Xbox One S is the smaller and more powerful iteration of the original Xbox One console. They both play all the same games, but the Xbox One S supports HDR gaming, 4K Blu-ray playback and has the capability of upscaling games to 4K resolution (as long as your TV is compatible too). If it comes to it, you can pick up a heavily discounted 4K TV during the Black Friday sales!
The Xbox One S boasts a couple of other bullet point worthy features, such as “more durable” analog thumbsticks and the ability to work while standing on its side (wow!).
Announced at E3 2016, the box was released almost immediately afterwards. However, if you’re just looking for a console to tide you over until the launch of Project Scorpio next year (which will mark the biggest tech leap for Microsoft’s box) you should be able to grab a sweet deal on the original black Xbox One. To reiterate, they both play the same games so you won’t be missing out on any new releases.

Black Friday: PS4, PC, Apple, Nintendo, TV, phone and laptop deals

It won’t just be Microsoft products discounted during Black Friday and we’ll be doing our best to keep on top of all the relevant deals in gaming, technology, computer and home entertainment.

Xbox One on Black Friday 2016

Games consoles are always a big seller on Black Friday as we approach the annual gift exchanging process that is Christmas. Whether you’re looking to surprise someone with a brand new Xbox One S or cheer yourself up with a treat to forget the pain of 2016 the Black Friday sales are an opportune time.
Last year Xbox Live Gold members got the additional bonus of an early Black Friday digital sale offering discounts on over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. Not to forgo the spirit of Christmas, Microsoft eventually made the deals available to all.
A similar arrangement is likely in the works for this year too, so it might be an idea to keep an eye out for cheap Xbox Live Gold subscriptions if priority access to deals makes you feel warm and fuzzy. You could get a month’s access for $1 last year – expect that offer to be repeated!
Understandably, sales of consoles and Xbox Live subscriptions skyrocketed over the Black Friday period last year with a 22 percent jump on console sales and 40 increase in Xbox Live Gold subscribers. The holiday period also gives folks more time to play games so you can sink into that colossal multi-hour RPG or become a pro in the latest competitive shooter.

Where does Black Friday come from?

Black Friday, as with Americana in general, hasn’t been around for as long as you think. The US’s most notorious sales day, which always takes place on the day after Thanksgiving, took off in the early 2000s. Despite not being a public holiday, it’s now as permanent a day off as Thanksgiving itself. Black Friday 2016 hits November 25. The American Christmas sales calendar kicks off here, and everyone’s looking to save.
The term “Black Friday” originated in Philadelphia, and was used to describe the amount of traffic (and people) jams associated with shopping the day after Thanksgiving. The phrase has been associated with the holiday in the US since the 60s.
In the last ten years, retailers have opened increasingly early to allow shoppers to grab the best deals before anyone else. Now many open their brick-and-mortar stores at midnight, as overnight queuing became an undesirable norm. But, with people being literally killed in the physical process of forcing into buildings to save money on games consoles and new hats, online shopping is, for the most of us, the best way to get involved and profit. If you’re in the market for Xbox One console hardware and games, you should bookmark this page right now.

Online shopping on Black Friday

You’ve got to be pretty brave to risk the stores of the real world during the Black Friday sales as the entire population devolves into the consumerist zombies George A. Romero predicted in Dawn of the Dead. The safer and wiser option is to do all your shopping online from the comfort of your home where you can browse through articles like this in your pants and pick up the best deals.
Last year shoppers spent billions during the Black Friday sales. Perhaps expectedly gaming tech accounts for some of the most significantly discounted items during the sales so it’s a great time to hunt down a new PS4 or Xbox One console, along with a new TV or surround sound system to support it. With discounts averaging around 24 per cent across all items you’re bound to find a deal you like!
