XBOX ONE S RELEASE DATE REVEALED
Monday, July 18, 2016
Microsoft has revealed the $399 2TB version of the Xbox One S will be hitting shelves on August 2.
The company also confirmed if you've pre-ordered one, you'll be getting it on release day. If you want one of the new slim consoles, you can still pre-order from Microsoft's store, although Microsoft claims availability is limited so if you want one, you might want to be quick.
It's worth noting the Xbox One S won't launch everywhere on that date, and will only be available in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and United States. Other territories will get the console later in the year.
Elsewhere, there's a base bundle that comes with a 500GB hard drive and an Xbox One controller for $299, or you can get a 1TB version for $349. Microsoft says "more details on the specific availability dates of these two options will be shared soon," but the belief is these should also be coming in August.
Last week, the Xbox One S Kinect adapter price was revealed, but if you already own an Xbox One, you can request one for free.
